Merlin launches Cancer Care Resources & Support Network

At Merlin, one of our core values is 'We Care'; which is why our Cancer Care Resource aims to provide a welcoming community for any teammates who are affected by the disease.

Created in partnership with both third-party experts and employees with lived experiences, the resource aims to provide support to any of our Merlin teammates who have been affected by cancer, whether they have received a cancer diagnosis themselves, if they are going through treatment, returning to work or supporting a loved one who has been affected.

With dedicated third-party training for colleagues to become specialised Cancer Buddies, including educational resources and advice on adapting working arrangements, the resource aims to provide additional support to teammates affected.

The Cancer Care Resource includes a dedicated Merlin Cancer Care online resource hub, which includes links to resources for further support, a buddy scheme and dedicated training for managers. Importantly, it provides a network of other welcoming teammates who have lived experience of cancer, either themselves or through those close to them, who will meet, discuss ideas and provide support to other teammates affected - because at Merlin, we care; and we go together.

Today we are building a stronger community; so we go together for tomorrow.

Light Up Green - World Cancer Day

To mark World Cancer Day, and to raise awareness and drive a positive movement of support around those affected by the disease, Merlin attractions around the world, including LEGOLAND California, the lastminute.com London Eye, and Madame Tussauds lit up green.

Merlin’s mission will always be to create moments of joy for families, and support the efforts to make cancer diagnosis, treatment and support equitable and accessible for all.
